As a strong advocate for the environment, Kathy offers designs and products based on Green Design.  She offers eco-friendly products and has traveled across the country sourcing the finest “green” kitchen, bath and construction materials.

KMarshall Design services are usually retained on a project basis. Kathy works very closely with her homeowners on multiple levels. While the functional design of the kitchen or bath is critical, other factors are just as important to make the design and the actual room truly special. Most notably is the cabinetry itself. The style, wood type, paint finishes, accessories…etc. But also important aspects such as floor and wall coverings (unique tile designs for the back splash, distinctive rugs and runners).

One of the hallmarks of KMarshall Design is the ability to truly listen to the homeowner and help guide them to achieve their “Dream Space”. The kitchen is a space that has a lot of “big expectations” and it is Kathy’s goal to create a space that is not only beautiful but functional and has been respectful of all the major issues. (Space, function, design and most of all budget.)

Here is how the typical process works:

• Initial Homeowner Consultation – information gathering session between KMarshall and the homeowner.
• Retainer – once the homeowner has decided to retain KMarshall, the design process begins.
• Design Survey Form – a series of questions for the homeowner.
• Concept Drawings – for review along with material selections (cabinets, finishes, styles…etc).
• Contactor/Installer Consultation – discuss floor plan and installation process and timelines.
• Final Appliance Selections by Homeowner.
• Revisions – as necessary and budget approval.
• Final Floor Plan and Elevations – homeowner final approval.
• Order Cabinetry.
• Coordinate Cabinetry Installation and other design details.
