Kathy Marshall has been
designing kitchens as well as baths, libraries and studies
for over 15 years. Her extensive product and design knowledge
has been accumulated by working on projects all over the
country. In 1993 Kathy and her father, Ed MacDonald started
a very successful design firm on the south shore of Boston,
MA. Since then she has started her own firm on the north
shore, in beautiful South Hamilton, MA.
From the distinctive, traditional designs of grand kitchens of the Northeast
to the open, rustic beauty of some of the finest homes and kitchens in the Southwest,
Kathy has been commissioned to design kitchens for homes ranging from $500,000
to $10 million. Her innovative and family-focused designs and use of custom cabinetry,
furniture, tile and accessories has not gone unnoticed by national publications
and design awards. Kathy has won several awards from the National Kitchen and
Bath Association and has been published in several national magazines. In addition,
her designs have been used by the prestigious appliance manufacturer, AGA to
showcase their line of world renowned stoves and ovens.
In the Fall of 2004 KMarshall Design was selected by This Old House to design
the kitchen, home office, laundry room and pantry for the house being used to
highlight the 25th Anniversary of the This Old House program. The house is located
in Carlisle, MA.
In the Fall of 2006 KMarshall Design was once again asked to design the kitchen
for the newest This Old House Project in East Boston MA.
Kathy continues to provide her homeowners with distinctive, unique designs, out
of the ordinary materials and a flair for fun and family. Her homeowners depend
on her expertise for superior functional design as well as recommending and presenting
unique materials, finishes and accessories. |
